Job summary

TA Dispatch in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Carrier Development Representative to expand the company’s carrier network and optimize capacity. You will collaborate with the Carrier Development Manager and operations to build strong relationships with carriers across TL, LTL, intermodal, expedited, and air freight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of direct truckload (TL) capacity development and carrier management experience.
• Flatbed procurement experience required.
• Prior 3PL experience preferred.
• Familiarity with McLeod and MercuryGate TMS systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Cross-border freight processes preferred but not required.
• Deep understanding of TA Services’ Managed Transportation services, carrier onboarding, contracts, settlement processes, systems integration, and operational execution.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Carrier Development Manager and operations to expand TA Services’ carrier network.
• Analyze market trends and carrier performance data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead initiatives to convert spot-market carriers into long-term contractual partners.
• Partner with sales and operations to align carrier strategies with customer requirements.
• Build and maintain partnerships across all modes to support meaningful relationships, competitive rates, and risk mitigation.
