Job summary

Redwood Logistics in Dallas, TX is seeking a Carrier Development Representative to identify and develop carrier relationships within our freight brokerage. You will focus on profitability and excellent customer service by engaging carriers, negotiating rates, and coordinating freight with Redwood postings.

The role emphasizes outbound calling, market awareness, and building a network of carriers to support customer sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

Identify, source, and develop strong business relationships with service providers.
Expand knowledge of transportation industry within carrier sales.
Build and maintain strategic carrier profiles to align with Redwood opportunities.
Engage carrier partners primarily by phone with high activity.
Negotiate freight rates to maximize profitability and service levels.
Coordinate available customer freight with carrier equipment and Redwood postings.
Monitor shipments and resolve issues to ensure on-time delivery.
Provide consistent service to motor carriers and maintain relationships.
