State of North Carolina seeks a Maintenance/Construction Technician III (S) at Murdoch Developmental Center in Butner, NC. The role covers full building maintenance, repairs and renovations across 600,000 sq ft, including carpentry, door/lock work and material procurement.

Applicants should have carpentry and locksmith experience, a valid driver’s license, and relevant EPA certification. Working hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weather-related mandatory shifts.

Competenze

High school diploma or GED and two years of progressive experience in the trade areas.
Two years of carpentry experience or equivalent education/experience.
One year of locksmith experience or equivalent education/experience.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate relevant tools and equipment.
EPA Certification as Type I/II/III or Universal may be required.

Mansioni

Maintain and repair state facilities, including renovation and alterations of building space.
Perform carpentry tasks: door adjustments, cabinetry, finish work and tile installation.
Requisition materials, manage small projects, and ensure compliance with work orders.
Operate hand and power tools and use heavy equipment as approved.
Ensure safety and quality through supervisor inspections.
