Job summary

J.B. Hunt in Lowell, Arkansas seeks a Cargo Claims Examiner I to manage cargo incidents, coordinate communications, and document actions. The role supports timely action plans to mitigate loss and maintain accurate records for each incident.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to work with internal teams and customers in a fast-paced environment. Training and development are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with less than 1 year of experience in Transportation/Logistics, Claims, Insurance, Customer Service, or related field.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage cargo incident communications with internal and external stakeholders.
• Apply guidelines to mitigate exposure and document all incident details.
• Enter data accurately across internal and customer systems and monitor timelines.
• Coordinate remediation efforts while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to updating incident reporting procedures.
