Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Cargo Claims Intake Representative II to manage incidents related to cargo overages, shortages, and damages. This customer-facing role will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, source vendors, and ensure compliant remediation actions.

The position requires strong communication, data-entry proficiency, and the ability to process sensitive documentation while adhering to regulations. It is a full-time role with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with 1–2 years in Transportation/Logistics, Claims, Insurance, Customer Service, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Manage elevated volumes of calls, emails, notifications and portal interactions for cargo incidents and exposures.
• Mitigate exposure by applying company guidelines, laws, and SOPs; assess information and determine action plan.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry across internal and customer systems; monitor timelines and follow-up.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external customers to move claims forward.
• Coordinate remediation with towing, insurance adjusters, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies; document actions.
• Assist in training junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
• Coordinate with external partners for cargo-related incident resolution; document and secure authorizations.
