This customer-facing role requires strong communication and analytical skills to mitigate loss and maintain accurate records. The position operates under general supervision in the Insurance department, with standard business hours and potential bonus eligibility based on company plans.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 1-2 years in Transportation/Logistics, Claims, Insurance, Customer Service, or related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage elevated inbound/outbound communications regarding cargo incidents and potential financial exposure; resolve open incidents with judgment and guidelines.
• Assess information, identify missing/incorrect data, and determine appropriate actions to mitigate exposure.
• Ensure timely data entry across internal and customer systems; prioritize and follow up on items.
• Maintain clear communication with internal/external customers to move claims forward and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate remediation efforts with internal/external stakeholders, including regulatory considerations (Hazmat, food safety, DOT).
• Contribute to development/updates of incident reporting procedures and assist junior team members as needed.
