Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. is seeking compassionate caregivers to join our team for in-home, non-medical support in the Northwest Indiana area. You will work one-on-one with clients in their homes, providing companionship and a range of daily living assistance designed to help seniors age in place with dignity.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia/Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative TB test as required by the State of Indiana
• Must be physically able to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation plus proof of valid driver's license and automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable

Responsibilities

• Provide social companionship and friendly support to clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as feeding, medication reminders, bathing/dressing, grooming, toileting, light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.
• Provide standby assistance with transfers.
• Ensure overnight safety and well-being of clients when needed.

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
