Job summary

HomeWell Care Services of NWI in Indiana seeks compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support, building trusting relationships with seniors who wish to age in place. You’ll work one-on-one with clients delivering personal care, companionship, and daily living assistance with empathy and integrity.

We offer flexible schedules, fast track hiring, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement, plus uniforms and training to support your success in the role.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care is a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Proof of current, negative TB test as required by the State of Indiana.
• Must be physically able to perform duties, including lifting/pushing/pulling about 25 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
• A compassionate heart for older adults and excellent communication skills.
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance
