Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate caregivers for in-home, one-on-one non-medical care to help seniors age in place with empathy and integrity. You will work with clients individually, providing support across daily living activities and social companionship.

No healthcare certification is required, but CNA/HHA or 6+ months of geriatric care is preferred; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Training and opportunities for advancement are available.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA/HHA or 6+ months of geriatric care preferred.
• Experience with dementia/alzheimer's care a plus.
• Must have daily access to email, internet, and a mobile phone.
• TB test (negative) as required by Indiana regulations.
• Physically able to lift/push/pull ~25 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with insurance.
• Compassionate heart for older adults.
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship and friendly interaction with clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, medication reminders, bathing/dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep).
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands and social activities.
• Standby assistance with transfers.
• Overnight safety support.

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance

• Must possess excellent communication skills
