Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide one-on-one, non-medical in-home care to seniors who wish to age in place. You will form meaningful relationships while delivering empathetic, high-quality support with dignity and integrity.

We offer flexible full- or part-time schedules, paid mileage between shifts, training, and opportunities for advancement, with a fast track to hire. No healthcare certification is required, but experience with dementia is a plus.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA/HHA or 6 months plus caregiving experience preferred.
• Experience with dementia and Alzheimer's care is a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Must provide a valid TB test as required by Indiana.
• Physically able to lift, push, and pull roughly 25 lbs.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
• Compassionate, mature, punctual and reliable demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship and engagement with clients.
• Assist with daily living activities: feeding, reminders, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Standby assistance with transfers.
• Overnight safety support.

Responsibilities

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
