Job summary

HomeWell Care Services, Inc. in Indiana seeks compassionate caregivers to join our team for non-medical in-home care, one-on-one with clients working to age in place at home.

You will provide support with daily living activities while building meaningful relationships and delivering care with empathy and integrity. We offer flexible schedules, paid mileage between shifts, training and development, and opportunities for advancement to help you grow within the company.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including lifting approx. 25lbs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of license and insurance
• Compassionate heart for older adults
• Excellent communication skills
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable

Responsibilities

• Social companionship
• Assist with daily living tasks such as feeding, reminders, bathing/dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry and meal prep
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance

With dignity, compassion, and care, your duties include, but are not limited to:
