Job summary

LEHMEYER DEVELOPMENT is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for a part-time Saturday shift in Florence, OR. The role entails assisting with daily living tasks, medication reminders, and following care plans to support a client with challenging behaviors.

Starting wage is $22.00 per hour. Candidates must have at least one year of care experience, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, own a smartphone, valid U.S.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with at least one year of care experience.
• CPR and First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification.
• Own a smartphone.
• Legal U.S. work authorization and successful background check.
• Driver’s license and insurance (for some roles).
• Must own a car to travel to client locations during the shift.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living tasks, including meals, bathing, and getting ready for the day.
• Encourage independence by assisting with walks, shopping trips, and community outings.
• Teach and model life skills such as cooking, managing money, and understanding social cues.
• Follow care plans, provide medication reminders, and document progress.

Client Bio

We are seeking a caring, dependable DSP who is patient, calm, and confident. The client requires support day‑to‑day, including managing big behaviors such as physical aggression, self‑harm, property destruction, and elopement. The caregiver must be alert, maintain safety, and provide toileting assistance. Additionally, the client has interactions with animals and may be rough with them, so the caregiver should guide and protect both the client and animals.

The client enjoys active play, likes dinosaurs, helicopters, trains, and being outside. They appreciate a caregiver who can match their energy while providing structure and support.
