Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring caregivers to provide non-medical home care across Connecticut. You will follow each client's Plan of Care, transport clients to appointments, assist with daily tasks, and offer companionship and support in a compassionate, respectful manner.

Flexible weekday, weekend, overnights, and live-in shifts are available. A valid driver’s license and background check are required; prior caregiver experience is a plus. We value reliability and a caring attitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed
