Job summary

Companions & Homemakers is hiring caregivers to provide non-medical home care across Connecticut. You will follow each client's Plan of Care, transport to appointments, assist with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and more. Flexible weekday/weekend shifts and live-in options available.

We welcome those with caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or companion experience. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required. Training and growth opportunities provided.

Qualifications

• Non-medical home care experience preferred.
• Reliable transportation and driver's license required.
• Open availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.

Your Day-to-Day

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care
• Transport clients to appointments and activities
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support
• Document care and provide reminders as directed

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Open availability preferred
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus
