Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Knowledge of barriers to educational success and a desire to help others achieve their educational goals.
• Experience working with racially, ethnically, economically and age diverse individuals.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage, provide support to, and motivate students.
• Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively follow up and follow through.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in technology, including Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Desire to learn and grow as professional needs arise.

Responsibilities

• Work with a student population reflecting diverse backgrounds.
• Provide resources, identify needs, and create plans of success for underserved populations.
• Proactively assist students in completing a credential or degree by communicating regularly and maintaining records of outreach.
• Connect students with college and community support services and assist with academic interventions when needed.
• Utilize a variety of technology solutions in addition to in-person interactions with students.
• Travel to off-site locations and to local high schools as required.
