Job summary

South College is seeking a Student Success Advisor to support the student life cycle, meet with advisees, and ensure timely outreach and retention goals. You will collaborate with the Senior Director and team to promote academic progress and address obstacles.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in a post-secondary setting, with strong communication and organizational skills. This position is on site and offers opportunities for professional development and involvement in campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; field often Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related preferred.
• One to three years’ experience in a post-secondary setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Attend to time management and attendance, ensuring regular scheduling and outreach to students.
• Support student success through proactive outreach and follow-ups with students and staff.
• Assist in managing student life cycle from acceptance to enrollment and course registration.
• Proactively contact at-risk students weekly to provide resources and escalate issues as needed.
• Meet with students quarterly to review academic plans and progress and support retention goals.
• Maintain documentation of student outreach and activities in appropriate systems.
• Support departmental activities and participate in professional development for Student Success.
• Demonstrate advanced verbal and written communication in a fast-paced environment.
