Job summary

Northeastern State University is seeking a Career Navigation and Employer Engagement Coordinator to lead employer outreach and student career development initiatives through the RiverHawks Regional Workforce Pathways Center.

You will establish partnerships with regional employers, coordinate internships, and support career readiness programming. The role emphasizes engagement, data use, and expanding experiential learning for students’ success and post-graduation outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recruiting, academic advising principles, and student development theory.
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
• Skill in delegation of responsibility and authority.
• Skill in operation of computers and job-related software programs.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Knowledge of FERPA and records management.
• Knowledge of state higher-ed policies.
• Knowledge of budget development and management.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain partnerships with regional employers.
• Coordinate internships and experiential learning opportunities.
• Support employer participation in workforce symposiums and advisory board activities.
• Assist students with career planning and workforce pathway exploration.
• Oversee employer engagement activities.
• Maintain workforce opportunity databases.
• Coordinate career readiness programming.
• Support placement efforts that improve student workforce outcomes and post-graduation earnings.
