Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Career Navigator to guide participants in developing personalized career plans, assess employability, and connect them with services to foster self-sufficiency. This role involves mentorship, barrier assessment, and regular progress communication with service providers to support participants' journey toward career success.

The Career Navigator will create ICPs, conduct needs assessments, and explain rights and required actions.

Qualifications

• Minimum BA or BS degree or one-year experience in criminal justice, social work, employment counseling, placement, human services, or public administration.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must provide own transportation and be able to clear OMV check.

Responsibilities

• Provide career navigation and individualized career planning.
• Assist participants with job searches, referrals, and training opportunities.
• Maintain case documentation and program records for compliance and reporting.
• Coordinate with external agencies to ensure access to services.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to meet goals.
