Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS degree and one year of relevant experience in criminal justice, social work, employment counseling, placement, human services, or public administration.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and social media apps.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients and create a career navigation plan to help achieve goals and self-sufficiency.
• Mentor clients, determine needs, barriers, and assets for employability.
• Provide job coaching, guidance, and regular face-to-face contact with clients.
• Maintain case documentation and review documentation to support grant requirements.
• Create an Individual Enhancement Plan (IEP) and perform interests assessments.
• Suggest development activities and assist in personal development planning.
• Provide timely guidance to strengthen knowledge and skills to meet mentees’ objectives.
• Conduct other case management activities and coordinate with partners for supportive services.
