Qualifications

• Experience working with career counseling consumers in a high-volume environment, particularly in human services or workforce development.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to motivate and present workshops.
• Knowledge of local labor markets and resources; ability to build referral networks.

Responsibilities

• Counsels and assists customers regarding job search strategies, career advisement and training issues.
• Advises, monitors, and tracks participation for customers to maximize program functions.
• Manages day-to-day relationship with customers, addresses concerns with action plans and documents findings.
• Maintains knowledge of occupations and career paths for effective placement and processing.
• Provides motivational support to customers during the job search process.
• Identifies training needs and facilitates training.
• Facilitates job readiness/workshops.
• Documents customer success stories and maintains records.
