Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 1–3 years of workforce development experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Familiarity with local communities and resources.

Responsibilities

• Manages a caseload of participants and provides counseling and mentoring.
• Assesses participant competencies, work history, education, skills, and abilities to identify employment barriers.
• Conducts regular individual meetings with participants for job search, education, job retention, and readiness.
• Prepares an employment plan for short- and long-term goals with each participant.
• Maintains information about area resources and employers for participant referrals.
• Tracks attendance and employment retention goals; notifies agencies of changes in hours.
• Provides case management focused on helping customers achieve employment and self-sufficiency.
• Coordinates access to training and employment services and documents progress.
