Job summary

Professional Services Group & Community Impact Programs is hiring an Employment Specialist under the DVR Services program in Kenosha, WI. This role focuses on career assessment, counseling, and helping clients develop workforce skills through job shadows, internships, soft skills training, and job development.

The position is part-time with a path to full-time as you become an integral team member. Flexible hybrid/remote scheduling is available, with meetings at the Kenosha office as needed and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in job development or job center services preferred.
• Experience communicating with diverse populations and people with disabilities preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assess employment readiness and determine barriers and needs for accommodations.
• Maintain regular contact with assigned caseload.
• Meet with consumers in PSG offices, libraries, job centers, community buildings, or via Internet or telephone.
• Provide employability skill-building services, researching and focusing on the latest job search techniques.
• Provide job development and employment retention services for consumers.
• Reach out to employers to present the DVR Programs and consumers available for employment.
• Complete billing and reports as required.
