Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Commerce seeks a Career Center Manager I to lead the Division of Workforce Solutions operations in Caldwell County. You will supervise a small team and oversee employment services, job training and related labor market information activities designed to connect job seekers with employers.

Responsibilities include directing staff, coordinating ISD-based service delivery, and partnering with workforce boards and local entities. Travel may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field with four years of employment service experience, including supervisory duties.
• Associate degree with six years in public or private employment service settings, including supervision.
• Experience analyzing local employment conditions and workforce needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage Center operations and day-to-day activities to meet goals.
• Supervise a staff of 2–4 DWS employees in Caldwell County.
• Coordinate ISD model staff planning and service delivery for job seekers and employers.
