Job summary

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln invites applications for an Office Associate in the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders. You will provide administrative support and act as a liaison among the department chair, office staff, college, university units, students, and the public.

The role requires a high school diploma or associate degree with several years of admin experience, strong Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to multi-task and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar programs.
  • Detail-oriented and accurate with strong organizational and communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently within established procedures required.

Description Of Work

As the Office Associate, you will provide administrative assistance to the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders, and serve as a liaison between the Administrative Coordinator, Department Office, the College, University administrative units, students, and the public.

Minimum Required Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalency plus four (4) years of experience providing administrative support or similar work; OR

  • Associate degree in business, communications, English or related field plus two (2) years of experience providing administrative support or similar work. Equivalent experience/education considered.

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar programs.

  • Detail-oriented and accurate with strong organizational and communication skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently within established procedures required.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in higher education setting.


Posted Salary

$19.330/hr minimum
