Job summary

Companions & Homemakers HCA #2052 seeks a Scheduling Coordinator to be the primary contact for clients and caregivers in the region. You will schedule caregivers to meet client care needs and supervise regional caregivers to ensure quality care in alignment with the company’s mission.

You will prioritize client schedules, oversee referrals, coordinate caregiver routines to control costs, and resolve scheduling-related issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in the homecare or healthcare industry preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year handling scheduling for clients preferred.
• Strong written and oral communications.
• Ability to work with a wide range of personalities in a diverse environment.
• Strong computer skills, including EMR, email, and spreadsheet data review.
• Demonstrated coaching, interpersonal, and team-working abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize assignment of open client schedules and complete work assigned by supervisor.
• Directly manage coordination of new client referrals to ensure timely staffing.
• Coordinate caregiver schedules to promote consistency, minimize overtime, and meet client needs within budget.
• Receive, investigate, and resolve client scheduling-related complaints with supervisor support.
• Ensure caregivers receive progressive disciplinary action when necessary.
• Advocate for caregivers with payroll or client concerns as needed.
• Document interactions and changes in the EMR; keep information up to date.
• Coordinate with state care managers on changes in client care needs and issues.
• Communicate recruiting needs to operations and participate in recruitment/hiring/orientation.
• Collect service agreements and non-medical forms from clients as assigned.
• Handle all phone interactions efficiently and courteously.
• Demonstrate judgment, problem-solving, and planning aligned with the company mission.
