Job summary

Senior Helpers Northbay is seeking a proactive Schedule Coordinator to ensure optimal coverage for clients receiving in-home care. You will select and coordinate caregivers based on care plans, maintain scheduling accuracy, and communicate changes to clients and families with professionalism.

The role emphasizes organization, multitasking, and customer service in a fast-paced environment. A strong background in scheduling/logistics and home care knowledge is preferred; weekend and on-call duties

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Previous experience in customer service preferred.
• Minimum of one year in a staffing/scheduling/logistics position preferred.
• Knowledge of general home care/healthcare staffing preferred.
• Excellent organization and communication skills.
• Quick-thinking and astute decision-making skills.
• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication, able to multi-task and work independently.
• Experience using telephones with multiple lines and maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and creative-solution abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages workload based on goals, initiative, and prioritization.
• Selects, schedules, and coordinates caregivers based on assessment and care plan information for new and existing clients; maintains appropriate gross profit margin for each case.
• Maintains scheduling of caregivers and responds to conflicts, emergencies, and call-outs; ensure the schedule is complete three days before shifts.
• Communicates caregiver changes and updates to the client/family ahead of scheduled times.
• Tracks and records scheduling changes in company software.
• Accepts on-call duty as directed by supervisor.
• Provides input to staffing needs to supervisor on a regular basis.
• Keeps caregiver files up to date, tracks expiration of licenses/insurance, and collects documents as directed.
