PetVet Care Centers Apple Valley Animal Hospital in California is seeking a Care Coordinator to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist. The role combines administrative support with exceptional client service to ensure a smooth, high-quality experience for every pet and client.

The position requires 1–2 years of experience as a veterinary receptionist, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to handle high-stress situations with composure.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• HS diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–2 years veterinary receptionist experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and in high-stress situations.
• Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments.
• Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assist with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconcile cash drawer and perform end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
