PetVet Care Centers' Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center of Thousand Oaks is seeking a Care Coordinator (Rotating Shifts) to join our team. This role provides essential administrative and customer service support to the hospital, coordinating lobby flow, scheduling, and patient intake with a focus on compassionate client communication.

The position requires 1 year of veterinary experience and 1 year in customer service, with a High school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year of Customer Service Representative experience
• 1 year of Veterinary experience

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and in high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
