This fast-paced role handles check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification, and payments, while maintaining HIPAA standards and a calm, patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working at a medical front desk or similar clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Manage front desk operations including patient check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review, schedule, and follow up on referrals by gathering information and updating patient records.
• Maintain patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and handling cancellations.
• Collect copays and payments accurately and maintain basic payment reconciliation.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA standards in all interactions.
