Confluent Health is seeking a Care Coordinator to be the welcoming first voice and face for patients. You will manage front desk tasks, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and handle payments with HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized and detail-oriented
• Comfortable communicating on the phone, including handling upset callers with patience
• Basic computer proficiency: learn new systems, scheduling software, emails, spreadsheets
• No prior medical experience required — comprehensive training provided (EMR, insurance fundamentals, workflows, phone etiquette)

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources
• Manage front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls
• Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals by gathering information and updating patient records
• Keep patient flow by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and following up for future visits
• Collect copays, balances, and other payments accurately and professionally
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation
