Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of customer-facing or patient-facing experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfort communicating on the phone with patients and callers, with professionalism.
• Basic computer proficiency; comfortable learning new systems and scheduling software.
• No prior medical experience required — training provided on EMR navigation, insurance fundamentals, scheduling workflows, and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Manage front desk operations including patient check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals, gather information, and update patient records.
• Keep patient flow and schedules moving by confirming appointments, managing waitlists, and handling cancellations.
• Collect copays and balances accurately, with basic payment tracking when needed.
• Uphold HIPAA privacy standards in all front desk interactions and documentation.
