Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a customer-facing or patient-facing role (retail, hospitality, call center, medical reception, etc.).
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while staying organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable communicating on the phone and handling upset callers with patience and professionalism.
• Basic computer proficiency: learn new systems, scheduling software, emails, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources.
• Manage front desk operations including patient check-in/out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls.
• Review, schedule, and follow up on referrals, updating patient records and explaining next steps.
• Keep patient flow moving by confirming appointments, handling waitlists, and following up for future visits.
• Collect copays, balances, and other payments accurately and professionally, with basic tracking.
• Protect patient privacy and HIPAA standards in all interactions and documentation.
