Advocate Health is seeking a Referrals Coordinator in Charlotte, NC to manage patient referrals, coordinate with practices, obtain authorizations, and guide patients through insurance coverage. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and strong computer and customer service skills.

Experience with medical records software and knowledge of FSC/Coverage/Plan types is preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours weekly, with pay range of $20.80–$31.20 per hour.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Computer experience required.
• Thorough understanding of Insurance coverage and Medical Necessity policies preferred.
• Knowledge of medical records software preferred.
• Customer service experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Completes referrals for patients and coordinates with referring and receiving practices and/or departments.
• May coordinate and prepare financial estimates for patients.
• Obtains all authorizations needed.
• Directs patients to providers in their insurance plan.
• Reviews benefits and educates patient on insurance coverage.
• Coordinates and schedules procedures and services within various departments.
• Reviews schedules and confirms accuracy and proper time allocation.
• Follows up on all referrals to ensure no care gaps.
