Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, Delaware, seeks a Full-Time Access Center Specialist II to join a hybrid team focused on accurate, compassionate service for patients, families, and providers. You will schedule appointments, verify insurance, and support billing while maintaining confidentiality and high-quality care.

The role requires strong customer service and healthcare front desk experience, with training conducted on-site before transitioning to remote work.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
More than one year of customer service, medical office, or call center experience preferred.
Healthcare front desk functions (registration, scheduling, and insurance verification) a plus.
NAHAM/CHAA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Schedule patient appointments and communicate with callers to provide a smooth scheduling experience.
Verify insurance eligibility, registrations, and billing in the EMR system; inform patients of financial responsibilities.
Document patient account notes and maintain workflow across scheduling, authorization, and billing departments.
Provide professional, confidential service and collaborate with clinic staff to support operational goals.
