Job summary

The Nemours Foundation is seeking an Access Specialist II to act as a liaison between providers and patients, handling scheduling, registration and insurance verification across Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware, and partner locations.

You will process requests via fax, email, or the Nemours app, manage EMR work queues, and discuss financial obligations with families to ensure timely and courteous service in line with Nemours policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3–5 years Health Care, Call Center, or Customer Service experience preferred.
• Experience with patient scheduling and insurance verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to schedule appointments and follow up with families.
• Answer incoming calls to schedule appointments and resolve scheduling issues.
• Process requests via email, EPIC in basket messages, or Nemours app.
• Verify insurance eligibility and authorizations as needed.
• Document information accurately in the EMR and communicate with clinics.
