Job summary

The Dell Medical School, in collaboration with Ascension Texas, seeks Advanced Practice Nurses or Physician Assistants to join the Institute for Cardiovascular Health and support adult cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care.

The APP/PA will work with supervising physicians, split time between telemetry and clinic, and deliver patient-centered care in both outpatient and inpatient settings within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited training program and board certified by the respective accreditation body.
• Physician Assistant with NCCPA certification and Texas Medical Board licensure.
• Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive authority and board certification (AANPCB or ANCC) and Texas Board of Nursing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform health assessments, screenings, and direct patient care.
• Provide treatment and management with prescriptive authority or referrals.
• Document care according to nursing standards and policy.
• Collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team.
