Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist for the Sunset Park Cath Lab. The role supports cardiac catheterization, ablation, and peripheral vascular procedures, acting as a liaison between staff and families while adhering to safety standards.

The successful candidate will hold an associate degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent, with ARRT/RVET RCIS/RCES credentials within 24 months and ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in cardiovascular technology or equivalent
• ARRT registration or equivalent required with RCIS/RCES within 24 months
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Serves as a liaison between clinical staff and families
• Assists with cardiac catheterization, Ablation, and peripheral vascular procedures in the Cath Lab
• Supports development and implementation of Cath Lab protocols and procedures
• Keeps current on best practice standards and new research in cardiology
• Evaluates new equipment and technology for safety and cost-effectiveness
• Verifies hemodynamic data and ensures accurate documentation in patient records
• Assists with post-procedure data completion and reporting
• Preps equipment, scrubs as first assistant, and supports emergency measures as needed
• Reviews patient history and prior films to guide procedures
