Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to support cardiac catheterization and related diagnostic procedures.

The role involves assisting physicians, maintaining patient care standards, and participating in protocol development for the Cardiac Cath Lab. A minimum of an associate degree or high school diploma with relevant experience is required, with ACLS and radiology/vascular credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or high school diploma with 5 years acute invasive cardiology experience.
• AR RT Radiology Registration or RCVT/RCIS/RCES within 24 months of employment.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists the primary operating physician to perform cardiac catheterization and diagnostic procedures.
• Serves as liaison between clinical staff and families.
• Provides patient care to those undergoing procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
• Assists with development of lab protocols and staff orientation.
• Monitors equipment, ensures data is accurately recorded in patient records.
• Reviews patient history and prior films to aid procedures.
