Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn seeks a Cardiovascular Technologist to join the Sunset Park Cath Lab, 5am-3pm. You will assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and related diagnostic procedures in a busy Level I trauma center.

Qualified candidates have an Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or equivalent, with 5 years acute invasive cardiology experience or ARRT Radiology registration; ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or a High School Diploma with 5 years acute invasive cardiology experience.
• ARRT Radiology Technology registration, RCVT/RCIS/RCES within 24 months of employment.
• ACLS within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the primary physician to perform cardiac catheterization and selected diagnostic procedures.
• Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and families.
• Provide assessment, treatment and patient care to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab, age-appropriate.
• Assist with care of patients undergoing Cardiac Catheterization, Ablation, and peripheral vascular procedures.
• Assist with development of protocols and educate Cath Lab staff.
• Stay current on best practice standards and new technologies in cardiology.
