Responsibilities

• Answers multiple phone calls.
• Respond to customer requests including appointment scheduling and routing calls.
• Responsible for calling Insurance/Payers to check eligibilities and obtaining prior authorizations for scheduled services.
• Communicate with providers regarding scheduling preferences and urgent patient needs.
• Provide doctor-patient support using reference documents and online knowledge base.
• Participates in achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
• Carry out administrative tasks, including maintaining databases.
• Utilize EMR and telephone system in performing tasks.
• Resolve patient problems of a limited scope and complexity.
• Observe confidentiality and decorum in conversation and behavior.
• *If MA qualified, may perform medical assistant duties if needed.
