Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group in San Francisco, CA, seeks a full-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a growing program. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team to deliver advanced surgical care for complex cardiac and thoracic conditions.

Open to experienced surgeons and graduating fellows; opportunity to contribute to regional program growth and expanded access. California licensure eligible; strong emphasis on teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of CT surgery residency/fellowship or enrollment with anticipated completion.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery; ABTS certification preferred.
• Eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure.
• Current DEA registration and Epic or similar EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform broad range of cardiac and thoracic procedures, elective and urgent.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, pulmonologists, and intensivists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and quality initiatives.
• Preop consult, perioperative management, and postoperative follow-up.
• Maintain documentation in Epic EMR and participate in call coverage.
