Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a full-time Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a collaborative, patient-centered cardiovascular team. The surgeon will provide comprehensive care across inpatient and outpatient settings and work with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.

Ideal candidates are Board Certified/Eligible in Thoracic Surgery, with CT surgery training and CA licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of CT surgery residency/fellowship or current enrollment with anticipated completion.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery; CA licensure.
• Current DEA registration and experience with Epic or similar EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform a broad range of cardiac and thoracic procedures, elective and urgent.
• Collaborate with cardiology, interventional teams, pulmonology, oncology, and intensivists.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and quality initiatives.
• Preoperative consultation, perioperative management, and postoperative follow-up.
• Support development and growth of services across the region.
• Maintain documentation in the Epic EMR and contribute to program development.
