Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our San Francisco program. The role involves leading complex cardiac and thoracic procedures within a collaborative, multidisciplinary cardiovascular team across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The ideal candidate will have CT surgery training, CA licensure eligibility, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited Cardiothoracic Surgery residency/fellowship, or current enrollment in fellowship with anticipated completion before start date.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery; current Board Certification preferred.
  • Eligible for unrestricted California medical licensure.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Epic or similar EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Perform a broad range of cardiac and thoracic procedures including elective and urgent interventions.
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, interventionalists, electrophysiologists, pulmonologists, oncologists and intensivists.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and quality initiatives.
  • Provide preoperative, perioperative and postoperative care and documentation.
