Mount Sinai Medical Center is seeking an experienced PA, Surgical Assistant, or House Physician for our Cardiothoracic Surgery team. You will assist in the operating room with patient positioning, prepping, and instrumentation, while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring patient safety throughout complex procedures.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years in this specialty, current licensure, and BCLS certification; a US- or internationally-trained physician with appropriate

Qualificações

• Minimum 2 years of PA/SA/House Physician experience in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Current licensure and BCLS certification required; ability to work with surgeons and team.
• Graduate of an Allopathic US medical school or recognized international school.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with positioning and transferring patients pre- and post-operatively.
• Maintain sterile field, assist with draping and prepping as needed.
• Anticipate surgeon's needs for exposure and tissue handling.
• Operate with appropriate PPE and maintain patient safety throughout procedures.
• Support in instrumentation, suctioning, and hemostasis during cases.
• Document treatment activities and participate in performance improvement.
