Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, FL seeks an Experienced PA, Surgical Assistant, or House Physician with at least 2 years in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Candidates should have strong OR skills, knowledge of cardiothoracic anatomy, sterile technique, and perioperative patient care.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, maintaining sterile fields, assisting with exposure and knot-tying, and ensuring patient safety and high-quality care throughout the perioperative period.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 2 years of PA/SA/House Physician experience.
• PA license or eligibility; SA/House Physician credentials as applicable.
• Graduate of an Allopathic US Medical School or an approved equivalent.

Aufgaben

• Assist with patient positioning and transfers pre- and post-operatively.
• Maintain licensure and BCLS data; ensure documentation is current.
• Involve in catheter/line insertion, draping, and prepping.
• Ensure sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Assist surgeon with exposure, retraction, and instrument handling.
• Maintain dry surgical field; use suction and electrocautery as needed.
• Pass sharps safely; apply ligating clips and tie vessels as required.
• Assist with pre/intra/postoperative assessments and documentation.
