Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center seeks an Education Coordinator to support administrative programs across medical education, graduate education, internships, residency training, and postdoctoral fellowship programs. The role will coordinate Fellowship program conferences and the Visiting Resident Rotation.

The position includes planning CME events, maintaining records, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with university standards.

Qualifications

• Education required: High School Diploma or GED; experience may substitute with a Bachelor's degree.
• Supervisory or coordination experience preferred for education programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, supervises, and administers operations of education programs; maximize efficiency and resource utilization.
• Supervise clerical staff; oversee training/orientation; set work priorities; monitor progress.
• Develop and oversee budgets for education programs; track expenditures and allocate funds accordingly.
• Create, review, and maintain policies to ensure compliance with university and accrediting standards.
• Maintain records and prepare complex reports for administration and accrediting agencies.
• Oversee recruitment and admissions activities; manage materials and data for applicants and reports.
• Implement internal controls to ensure efficient operations and reliable financial information.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Assist with payroll, vacation/sick leave requests, and supply ordering as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
