Job summary

Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute – Charlotte is seeking a Full-Time Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join a collaborative team in Charlotte, NC.

You'll provide comprehensive patient care with a supervising physician, maintain competency, and work four 10-hour daylight shifts with rotating weekends. Inpatient setting, no OR duties, possible travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an NP or PA program and licensed to practice in NC
• Prescriptive privileges and a valid DEA license required
• NCCPA certification for Physician Assistant or Acute Care NP certification
• Cardiology, cardiothoracic, or vascular surgery experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, provide, and assist in quality patient care for cardiothoracic patients with supervising physician
• Assess, diagnose, treat, educate, refer, and consult in collaboration with supervising physician
• Maintain clinical and professional competency appropriate to patients served
• Work independently with strong decision-making and communication skills
• Work inpatient daylight rotating four 10-hour shifts; weekend coverage required every 3–4 weeks
• No OR responsibilities; travel may be required to other sites; bedside procedures as listed
