Job summary

Atrium Health's Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a full‑time advanced practice provider for an OR‑only Cardiothoracic surgery team. The role focuses on cardiac first‑assists in inpatient and OR settings, with EVH proficiency and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team under supervision.

Candidate must have CTS experience, AP/PA credentials, NC licensure, and current BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program with NC licensure.
• Prescriptive privileges and DEA license; BLS/ACLS current.
• CTS experience including cardiac first‑assist; EVH proficiency.
• Ability to practice in NC/SC per state laws and hospital policies.
• Experience in fast-paced cardiovascular operating room settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide first assist in a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures.
• Perform EVH with Hemopro system and assist arterial harvesting when applicable.
• Coordinate patient care in inpatient and OR settings under physician supervision.
• Educate APP students, fellows, and new hires; participate in required meetings.
• Maintain competencies and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
