Job summary

Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, NC seeks a Full-Time Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join a busy, collaborative team. You will work in inpatient settings with a daytime 4x10-hour rotation, no OR duties, and travel to other sites may be required.

You will coordinate care with supervising physicians, perform assessments and procedures as needed, and have opportunities for autonomy and professional growth within a leading cardiac program.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program and licensed in North Carolina.
• Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
• BLS/ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide comprehensive cardiothoracic patient care with supervising physician.
• Assess, diagnose, treat, educate, refer and consult per supervising physician.
• Maintain clinical competency for cardiothoracic patients.
• Work independently with strong decision-making and communication.
• Rotate daylight 4x10-hour shifts with some weekends.
• No OR responsibilities and no on-call; travel may be required.
• Perform procedures such as bedside talc pleurodesis, chest tube removal, and drain management.
