Job summary
Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Full-Time Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join an established practice. You will provide comprehensive patient care in collaboration with supervising physicians, work day shifts with rotating weekends, and have opportunities for autonomy.
No OR duties and no on-call requirements. Ideal candidates are NP/PA program graduates with NC licensure, prescriptive privileges, and relevant certifications
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program with NC licensure.
- Prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
- ACNP/NCCPA certification applicable for role.
- Experience in cardiology or cardiothoracic care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide comprehensive care for cardiothoracic patients with supervising physician.
- Assess, diagnose, treat, educate, and consult in collaboration with supervising physician.
- Work in inpatient setting on a 4×10 hour day shift with rotating weekends.
- No operating room duties and no on-call responsibilities.
- Perform procedures such as talc pleurodesis, autologous blood patch, TPA instillation, chest tube removal, and wound VAC placements.
- Travel to other sites may be required.
